Disclaimer Notice and Terms of Conduct

The Council of the European Union PUBLIC REGISTER OF AUTHENTIC IDENTITY AND TRAVEL DOCUMENTS ONLINE (PRADO )

1. User Conduct

You shall not in any manner:

(i) distribute, use or make copies of, or otherwise duplicate any materials contained on the PRADO site, except as expressly authorized under these Terms or authorized by the GSC;

(ii) sell, loan, rent, lease, re-license, sublicense, transmit, distribute, re-distribute, or timeshare the PRADO site or parts of it, or create any Internet "link" to the PRADO site, or "frame" or "mirror" the material or services contained in or accessible from the PRADO site on any other server or Internet-based device without prior express written authorization from the GSC; for non-commercial use, authorization to create an Internet "link" to the PRADO homepage (http://www.consilium.europa.eu/prado/EN/homeIndex.html) is given herewith; for publishing such a link you do not need any further permission from the GSC;

(iii) cause or permit the reverse engineering, disassembly, decompilation of, or any other attempt to derive any software comprising or available through the PRADO site, except to the extent permitted by law; or

(iv) remove, alter, amend, or otherwise tamper with any titles, trademarks, copyright, restricted rights notices, or other proprietary rights legend, or any license agreement, included or provided with the PRADO site.

In addition, you agree not to use the PRADO site:

(a) to harvest, collect, gather or assemble any material for other than official and non-commercial use;

(b) to harvest, collect, gather or assemble information or data regarding other users, including e-mail addresses, without their consent;

(c) to transmit or post any material or information which is unlawful, harassing, libelous, abusive, tortious, defamatory, threatening, harmful, invasive of another's privacy, vulgar, obscene or otherwise objectionable;

(d) to transmit any material that may infringe the intellectual property rights or other rights of third parties, including any personal data protection, patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, or right of publicity;

(e) to transmit any material that contains software viruses or other harmful or deleterious computer code, files or programs such as trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbots;

(f) to interfere with or disrupt servers or networks connected to the PRADO site, or violate the regulations, policies or procedures of such networks; or

(g) to harass or interfere with another user's use and enjoyment of the PRADO site.

2. Personal Data Protection  -  Privacy Statement

Within the PRADO system only (parts of) specimen documents are displayed that have officially been provided by the participating country (document owner) for publication in the Internet; no use is made of authentic personal data if not necessary. In order to ensure the protection of privacy and personal data, when use is made of authentic documents (as opposed to specimen), it is ensured as far as possible that no details which could identify a person are legible unless individual data items are the subject of the contribution.

3. GSC Disclaimer

The GSC maintains this site to enhance public access to information about its initiatives and GSC policies in general. Our goal is to keep this information timely and accurate. The information is provided "as is", without any representation or endorsement made and without warranty of any kind whether expressed or implied. If errors are brought to our attention, we will try to correct them. The originators of the documents contained stay originators of the documents for the whole lifecycle of the documents.
